My Wii is coming for Christmas. How do I prepare?

I am not a gamer. At all. Ever. But my daughter is 7 and I played the Wii at an exhibition one night and I thought it was fun and thought she’d enjoy it. So, I finally got one through Amazon (thank you WiiAlerts.com!) and it’s coming Christmas Eve.

What does it come with? Does it have a game or games with the package? Should I buy batteries or something else? I don’t want to have this cool toy on Christmas and not be able to use it.

Okay to ask for gift receipt for child’s christmas gift made with hazardous materials?

I had asked them at Thanksgiving to check out healthytoys.org, just to make sure they did not buy anything that could be potentially hazardous. I don’t want to be rude to my in laws, but a few of them purchased toys that were rated as having Med. and High amounts of lead and chlorine, and I don’t plan on giving them to my daughter.
Is it rude to ask for a gift receipt? Or should I just get rid of them?

So I was wondering how much do you spend on Christmas gifts for your kids? How much on each? If I remember correctly I think we spent maybe around $350 or more last year on our kids.

We are not rich. Last year my two younger kids shared a few of their gifts. We got toys and games they could share and stuff like that.
